2010 ep's vs. 2010 Hellbents

I know this has been covered for previous models but not for the 2010's. Im 6'2 and around 175. I skis 98% pow/trees/bigger drops. I want to hear what you guys have to say about these skis for tree skiing and big drops. My deciding factors: Ep too soft but bigger under foot. Hellbents not as big under but stiffer for bigger drops.

EP's are dumb in my opinion. Get the Bents.

The bents are going to dominate the EPs on big drops.

In the tree's, the bent's will be more controlable.

The bents are also better for charging.

The EPs are still fun. But the bent's just dominate, especially the larger drops. and 122 underfoot is nothing to laugh about.

^Yeah EP pros suck ass. I ski them becasue they are super shitty skis, and i suck at skiing so its a perfect match.  The most you can do on EP's is 180s, they wont' let you spin anymore than that.

depends on your weight and size.

ep´s are good for the deep deep untracked days and switch pow riding. also for some groomer jibbing since they are so soft and comparably light. also good for trees since they are very maneuverable

bents are better for going at faster speeds, bigger drops and taller or heavier people.

ofcourse 90% of how a ski is going to perform is due to ability of skier.
a stiffer ski is not gonna do u any good if u only go off of small ass cliffs.

The ep's are lighter than the bents' and will make spinning EASIER, you just suck at spins.

AHHH thread faill.  Many stupid things have been said.

"For trees and big drops".  By big drops do you mean a massive cliff that is almost taller than you(which I have realized is what many NSers call HUGE) or do you mean cliffs that are double the height of a NBA basketball hoop(go to your gym, count how many somethings(bricks, bolts, whatever is equally spaced up the wall) it takes to get to the rim, and count that up again.  This is actually 20 feet, or by NS talk about 125 feet).  If you are doing decent sized cliffs then don't get either ski!  If tree skiing and cliffs(powdery both) are what your aim is, and I am guessing you want a 185ish ski, then get ARGs or another reverse sidecut ski.  Reverse sidecut skis are the best thing ever in powder(as long as they are stiff enough).  If you have $800 then you can get some 192 2010 Lotus 138 bamboo hybrids which are the shorter version of the best powder ski ever made(202 138s, but the pure carbon model). dpsskis.com do it!

Oh yeah, you said 98% powder, so for sure go R/R.  Also you said Hellbents are stiffer, which is true, but they are still noodles.  I would get 192 Lotus 138s like I said(192s since they will bem even easier in trees than the 202s are) or ARGs.  And Tyrolia Peaks(15s or 18s).

For a bigger guy, definitely hellbents. Also look into Chopsticks. They're both great skis though, chopstick are just quite a bit stiffer.

Sweet! I think you'll like them. Theyre really cool skis. They have a jibby feel when you want them too but you dont feel limited at all by the flex. (like you would on EPs). Write a review on em once youve skied them some.

I think I would own EP's for sure IF I were a small dude.  They are obviously Pollard's ski and he three different one's specifically for different conditions so they can be pretty darn specific.  Pollard isn't a big dude so he didn't make his pro model for big dudes.
I would go for the Bents.
