I was employed at 5 guys burgers and fries yah there burgers are good blahh blahh. Well today i was just informed that i got fired for no legit reason. They fired me because they hired too many people too begin with and now there firing people for bull shit reasons. Isn't this the managers fault?? I love how they gave me no warnings at all not one! Not to mention they did the same thing to my homie. Also now i have no money right when ski season swings around ughh life is rough... Anyone know of any ways o get revenge?
There should be no reason to get revenge. They are overstaffed(lots of places are because of the economy) and when it comes to downsizing, they will keep the best out of all the people that they have at the time.
unfortunately i dont think there is anything you can do about it. its not like they discriminated against you, they just needed to cut the extra fat off. and the mexicans who you work with that have to feed a family of 8 with a 7$ an hour income, probably come first. life sucks, i had the same happen to me a while ago. i didnt even start work and got fired.
no but you can call in and place orders haha i told all my friends too call in and place an order for like 20 burgers. and there shit is expensive too.
too bad i was the first one hired by the regional owner and he said i was his favorite employee. then bamm i get fired by a 26 year old douche bag that didnt even graduate high school.
yah i trying to let it go i just hate not having a cash flow especially with how expensive everything is in summit county. but yah I'm in school live at home and I'm 17
ah see thats probably it, when laying people off. the young people usually get let go sooner than the ones who are on their own or have others to provide for. ya dig?
I was going to work at my local ski shop this season as a second part time job so I can help pay off some of my COLLEGE student loans. My parents don't support me other than letting me live in their house. I was let go because I did not have enough availability for them between college and my other job. Now since I am out of that job, I have about half my projected income and am not forced to buy a $400 pass so I can ski.
Do you want to know the greatest part about it? Last season when I worked there, I worked 15 hours a week and was ALWAYS in the top third of sales with all of the full timers that worked. I was good at my job because I know my shit.
Ya I was upset, but I can't blame the owner. He did what was best for HIS business, not some kid that worked for him.
When I got laid off this summer it was a combo plate with age playing a key roll. I know how to weld, I could probably get a welder's certification if I were to take the class but I just haven't. My base pay was $12 an hour. Cause I could weld it went up to about $14 plus another $1 because I knew how to operate a man lift, fork lift, boom on the boom truck, and other things. I got let go because I was getting ready to go back to college in 2.5 weeks and because I got paid $5 more an hour compared to the other temps. Was annoying as hell.
they did the exact same thing to my friend, opened a store here in the summer than after about a month told him he was temporarily laid off because they hired too many people
But you are bitching an moaning about how you "got fired for no legit reason" and you are wrong.
You got fired because what you had to offer didn't cater to the needs of the company. And that is something that you obviously can't wrap your 17 year old mind around.
im a bus boy and they cut all my shifts for a while, but then the waiters demanded me back cause im the shit. Actually its just cause im the longest working busser and a hard worker
But really, it sucks to get your shifts cut, specially when you need cash. good luck, and forget about trying to get revenge, despite how much you may be hurting for cash right now I bet five guys and some other employees are hurting more. My job used to be just high school kids, but we just got a couple of adults cause they lost their old jobs
This thread is hilarious. You got fired. It sucks, we know, but stop crying like a little girl and go find another shitty part time job instead of planning your "revenge".
what's there to understand? A place can't afford to keep people on, so people have to go. If you want to pretend like you're the best worker there, maybe they thought you were overqualified, if so get a reference from the guy who hired you, see what connections he has to help you find another job.
on the other hand, it's more than likely you were an average or below average worker and they let you go.
If you know how much it sucks to lose your job why would you put others at risk for the same fate. Seeking revenge is only going to hurt the establishment. While it probably won't directly cost another worker their job, it's not like the place has the resources to fuck around with your shit.
grow up, move on, and realize in the long run won't ruin your life. With nothing to gain and plenty to lose seeking revenge isn't worth your time
Option 1 1. Buy a kilo of coke.
2. Hid it in the managers office/someplace that only employees are allowed.
3. Report it to the local police force and present them with pictorial evidence.
4. Win.
Option 2
1. Go to a third world country.
2. Contract HIV/AIDS
3. Ejaculate into the mayonnaise.
4. Win.
Option 3
1. Look in your local paper.
2. Find a decent job and apply.
3. Get hired.
4. Win.
Option 4 1. Sign on to an internet forum
2. Write up a fucking gay thread about getting revenge with poor grammar and spelling.
3. Get hated on hard because quite honestly you deserve it.
4. Lose.
Unfortunately for you it seems as though you're only choosing option 4. And yes, those were listed in order of best option to worst option.
