Help with line afterbang

hey ns i need some help with chosing what size ski for the afterbangs. my choice is 166 or 177. i am about 5'8 5'9 and 130 pounds.

I'd say 177. But really depends on your style and how long you like your skis as well as your ability.

I always think center mounted ski feel super short, so I would say go with the 177cm... but it depends also what you were skiing on last.  That sometimes helps you decide which way to go.

the skis i have now r centered and they r 161. im just starting to do rails and stuff like that i also like to go out and ski normally

I'm 5' 8" 155 lbs and I went with the 177, personally I like a bit of a longer ski, and since it's center mounted it skis a lot shorter. It's a tough call, the 166 is gonna be shorter and easier to swing around on rails, BUT the Afterbang has such low swing weight that you wont notice it too much with the 177 and you'll be able to stomp jumps easier. Personally I'd go with the 177.

do you do a lot of jumps? If so, you might wash out with the 166, if not, you'll be fine.

i do a bit of jumps and i wanna get good this year cuz i have a shitty pair of twin tips now. i donno i need to find out more cuz i wanna get good at rails and jumps. i might have to go with the 177

If you can find them, that's what I would do. 177 is super fun and stable to be on. And ABangs retail aren't that much more (I've seen them for $300).

it was a local shop in BC - I don't know about Canada, but usually smaller, local shops have good deals at the beginning of the season.

i already went to my local shop that holds lines and they on they only have the sir frances bacons and the chronics. and my local mountain has been open for 4 weeks already

i just got 177 walls and i'm 5'9 and 125 pounds but its up to your skiing ability if you feel like you could be confident on them go for the longer ski it will benefit you for the long run. I'm personaly just making the switch from 161's

177 hands down. 166 is definitely too short for you.
