Trouble Changing My Icon

so my friend, vt_scratch gave me an icon, the K2 one, a while back and i want to change it. but when i click on my icon to edit it and try to upload a 50x 50 pixel icon, my icon does not change, and it says that the icon must be 50x 50 pixels even though the pic i uploaded was 50x 50. my question is if anyone knows how to upload icons correctly and if i am doing something wrong? also its not my computer thats the problem either cuz my friend tried to change it at his house too but it didnt work. +k

yaa I tried here and couldnt get it to switch either. and I'm pretty sure the images I tried WERE in fact under 8k.

any ideas?

I changed mine today.... Just clear your cache and give it some time. It will change eventually.

Give it a couple hours. Icons always take a while to update.

no. change it. and the new one will show up in a few hours. you dont have to leave the edit page open for a couple hours.

im having the same problem, no matter what i resize it to, tried 48x48 and some others that are even smaller and i still get this message when i try to upload it
"Icon dimensions must be 50 x 50 pixels."

I didn't have any problems when I changed mine today (Go Zags!). But you might want to try compressing it if you have a GIF using an online tool.

8k is nothing, in my opinion. When was that number for icons created, 1999? Maybe bump it up to 16 or 20k?

and i used a png for one and it said icon was too big, must be 8k
