Replying to Looking for a thoughtful advice on bindings choice
I tried to ask about it on the "what binding" sticky thread, but didn't get much attention; plus i have a new interesting option i'd like to have your opinion on.
I've just been shipped a new pair of Moment Rocker 181 (so stoked!) and i'm trying to figure out which binding should i mount on them.
I'm 5' 11", 175 lbs more or less, with 325 mm BSL boots and something like a type 3 skier, not very aggressive though. I plan to ski park, jib around and hit nothing really big, with some lap on powder, when we get it, so i think i won't set my DIN much higher than 10 (just a guess, anyway, maybe i shall need to get it higher).
So, at the moment i have 3 different option, on the online shop i'm going to buy from:
1. Look PX 12 Jib Wide (129 €): i know i can't go wrong with them, they're cheap and probably strong enough for me (does the 3mm shock absorber make a real difference or isn't it really noticeable when landing?)
2. The new Look Pivot 14 (279 €): there isn't much to say about them, we all know how good these turntables are. A sick set up on Rocker, if i may say. Only con is that they're really expensive (i could manage to afford them, at the moment) but are they worth the money i would spend over the PX 12?
3. Marker Jester 07/08 (189 €): a cheaper but still very good 14 DIN binding.
So, what's you opinion: Could i safely stick with Look PX 12 or would it be better for me to get a 14 DINer binding? And if a 14 DIN is better, do the Pivot worth the extra money?
Thank you all
