K2 silencer or disordery or armada el rey?

im thingking about possibly getting new skis this year. I currenty have 06 PE's and I love them except weight and stiff flex. Ive been looking at the armada el rey's and more recently the silencer and disorderly's. I ride all mountain and looking for something more than just a park ski. i see the silencer are very similar to the PE's. anybody have thoughts or advice on these skis?

id go for the disorderlys. they are relatively light, pretty soft. symmetrical and not just a biggenners/intermediate park ski. plus they are not cap construction, which makes them doper, but also a bit heavier. ya, so definately go for the disorderlys.

personally i would rate them like this:

1)- disorderly
2)- el rey



3)- silencer

1 being the best and 3 being the worst.

ofcourse neither of these skis a a really bad ski, personally i just think the disorderlys are alot better than the other two mentioned skis.

The El Rey is an awesome ski, that would be my vote.  And it's not a low end ski by any means- TJ won a slope comp on them a few years back.

Disorderlys are the best out of the 3, El Rey is second, and Silencer is 4th (yeah, 4th - it's a beginner ski).

Disorderlys are symmetrical, El Reys aren't - decide which you want more symmetrical or non-symmetrical? Then you have your answer.

too narow, but if you know how to ride its doable.
wont be all that fun though i guess. its a true park and jib ski, not a pow ski

He said he wants a ski thats not for park and you suggest him a symmetrical ski? You're on crack.

Get the el rays, they have a little more width than the silencers, and have pretty good all mountain dimensions.

he also wanted a not so stiff ski, and a ski that is playful.
but ya i see what u mean. didnt read his post to the end.
the disorderlys still preformed very well as an all mountain ski imo.
i just prefer the disorderlys from the skis above

people need to be more descriptive when they say all mountain. i live in PA. my park ski is my all mountain ski, for the most part, and the disorderly worked very well for me last year for everything I encounter in PA. if i lived on UT, my park ski would be the kung fujas, which could also be my all mountain ski. it totally depends what you're going to be skiing outside the park. if you're somewhere where all mountain means a few groomers here and there to get to and from the park, or the occasional cruiser or bump run, whatever, the disorderly will work great. if you actually have legitimate trails that you want to be ripping turns GS style, then you might want to look into something else.

true on the all mountain description. I live in MA and ski VT so i would probably break down my all mountain skiing into
55% goomers
20% trees/pow
20% park
5% bumps
I definetly spend more time on the groomers and in the trees with some park and bumps put into the mix

Silencer isn't a beginner ski. It is full wood core and not a noodle. It is a less expensive alternative to other models like the Extreme or Disorderly. Margetts uses them all the time and I use them as a park ski.

Yeah the Silencers are a great ski esp for the money. I guess the issue is your already coming from PE's, so the silencers are going to be a little lighter and have alittle more flex, but are similar in alot of ways. Id say if your PE's arent bad shape use them for an all mountain bomber and then find a maybe a more park oriented ski thats still on the stiff side and mount near center.
