So the last time I was in VT our Cat. converter was stolen. Some fuck with a hack saw cut it off the bottom of my dads Toyota highlander. Its a popular thing to happen but have you ever seen happen to you or a friend. How much did it cost to replace and what car do you have, what mountain were you at.

I havent seen it before, but if he cut it off and is not an idiot and cut on the header/ exhaust parts, thats a full new exhaust that you are going to need which will be a bit pricey. Maybe $300-500? But that is a shot in the dark. Check Ebay.

thats why my cat is sitting in the garage and only goes on for passing emissions. i have a cheapo high flow cat that basically just acts as a fire suppressor.

yup. And metals are worth a lot these days. Cause the dollar isnt.
Same idea as the crackheads stealing peoples copper plumbing from under their houses.
