I have a pair of twin tips and they only have one mount point. its like back from center i don't know the exact point. Can i still mount them dead center even though the mount point is farther back? I feel like i could anyway but when i went to get them mounted the guy said i couldn't. Can anyone help me??
if the guy told you he couldnt mount them center go to a different shop. skis with no mount plates or anything (aka park skis) can be mounted wherever you damn well please. if you want them center, know whether you want them true center(length) or core center (balance point). your skis will rider better switch at true, but will perform better all-mountain at core. decide where you want them mounted and draw the line on the skis where you want them mounted with a sharpe. go to a good shop and say "mount at the line" and they will say "sure thing"
if a shop tells you they can only mount at the recommended spot, leave that shop immediatly
