Eastern College with Skiing?

Anyone know of any colleges in the northeast that are near some killer skiing? needs to have an engineering program, but other than that i just want to ski.

i go to union college and the skiing there is fucking sick. its 20 for a ticket to a different mountian every weekend, and its free to ski wednesday's. also we have 300 passes for mt snow which isnt to bad either ahah...just a thought check it out

personally i'm biased against union, but that's because i went to skidmore, which offers most of the same skiing benefits without the bro-fest and living in schenectady. if you're interested in a big school though, UVM, UNH, and U-Albany are your best bets i'd say

those are probably the best academically that are near skiing.  although there are still some very good schools near skiing such as; UMass and UVM

although, McGill is my favorite.
downtown montreal.  near Jay, Tremblent, Avila, and even Stowe/Smuggs.  mcgill is soo sick.  it's also in the top 30 colleges in the world.

yeah i feel that skidmore is much more artsy if you into that. union is one of the best engineering schools in the nation. we are rated #1 for stuff to do in the country #9 engineering #13 best party school so its not so bad haha but are trips really are legit last year our trips this year are
Jan. 9 - Okemo

Jan. 23 - Killington
Jan. 30 - White Face
Feb. 6 - Sugar Bush
Feb. 13 - NO TRIP, Presidents Day
Feb 20 - Stowe

how big of a school?  25000 people with good engineering and not that bad of a drive to one of the best parks on the east?  weekend trips to quebec, and day trips to all over the northeast.  and it wont be too hard to find a kid to drive you to the mountain.  freshmen can have cars, i had mine last year and went up every day on the weekend and a lot of the time during the week.  and probably gonna be more affordable than unh uvm and union unless your instate for uvm or unh

why are they making you stay in the US? i go to mcgill and it's super close to skiing as everyone has mentioned but i pay like 1/3 of the price you are going to pay at any of those schools in the US. and it's a better school than all of those schools except Middlebury and they have a great engineering program. other than that i would look into UVM but you are going to be paying bank for that.

size doesnt have to be huge. uvm, unh, umass are all good sizes. i just dont want to feel like im going to a high school again with 2000 kids. and ive been trying to get my parents to let me go to canada but they havent budged. ill keep at it though and look further into mcgill. it sounds perfect.

i think you'd like it quite a bit. around 30,000 students here so comparable to UMass size. have you checked out boston @ all? like Northeastern University?

true enough. we have no engineering program, but we were number 1 in reefer madness! its all a matter of personal preference. you guys have a pretty sick trip itinerary though

st mikes was nice but way too small. it didnt even feel like a college when i went to visit. and for mcgill, does it really have a campus? i dont know much about it but if its right in montreal i cant see it having too much of a campus.

yes everything is really centralized and it has quite a nice campus. good mix of urban and greenspace. it's built right on the side of mt. royal so you are usually walking uphill. and then you walk onto sherbrooke street and you're right in the city. best of both worlds. definitely come take a tour!

most ns'ers go to UVM....

middlebury and dartmouth are incredible schools and close to skiing, colby and bowdoin are sick as well
