Wat do mountains use for the tops of rails

wat do mountains use for the topss of their rails... u kno the black rubbery looking shit... my dad will buy me it but i just need to kno wat it is... im mkaing a new rail for my backyard if anyone was wondering... if i dont need to bother with it wat should i do to mkae the rail? any suggestions?

Rails are usually made of steel, and then they paint them, but the paint wears off the top really fast.

Resorts usually use steel but a really cheap option that slides really well for a backyard rail is PVC.

rails are made of steel. some flat bars have other shit on them with like steel coping. but most are just steel. unless your talking about boxes, thats just like industrial grade plexiglass shit. i dunno what its called but just go to home depot or some shit and talk to one of the employees they'll probably find you something close enough.

yea this is what i said cause i know they do make black HDPE but im not sure if OP meant rails or boxes.
