That is the most assanine logic I've read in this thread. Do you have any clue how much cheaper it would be to do what you just said? Fire up a few guns and make a half-assed shitty venue?

They are delaying a week so they can have a setup that is worthy of a few grand in prize money. This isn't some goggle- toss-get-some-free-schwag jam.

postpone it til sunday, blow all day friday, saturday, when its going to be natural snowing anyway. you're making it a "half assed shitty venue" when ten of the top competitors can't make it, and are losing hundreds of dollars in the process. absolutely silly to cancel it 4 days before the event. instead of complaining about the rain think critically and actually do something about it, its killingtons responsibility.

i agree with that.  if your holding a comp where there are a couple of thousand dollars on the line and have some big name pros coming like phil, lj, wesson.  you should have the comp on the date made.  they know people are flying to the event just to partake in it.  i completly understand the weather in the east as i live in CT and it has sucked.  but screwing over all the people that already booked tickets is not right

completely agree. killy blew it.

it was warm at KOS. they were losing snow. you all saw the inrun. they didn't postpone at all, they cut down on practice runs and made do. and the comp was still sick.

Kililngton is the stingiest mountain ever.

They are probably saving a couple hundred bucks or something if they postpone. I say the whole event should just be boycotted, fuck killington

Ok there bud. You're blaming killington for the shitty weather the east coast is having? God. Everyone blaming killington for this is crazy. The weathers not even warm enough to make snow. And even if it was, would you rather have it now on shitty man made snow, or have it next week on halfway decent snow?

It is actually perfectly good logic, the money the skiers are losing is now about $200-$300 for each flying competitor to change their flight, which is probably about 10 if not more. And I don't know anything about snow making but I would think for $3,000 they could make a pretty legit set up of down rails. Pushing this event back proves that they give no consideration to the competitors and are willing to fuck them over because they don't want to work hard enough/spend enough money to set it up in time.

And I was joking about the flat box to that other guy sorry for stressin ya out.
