What has skiing cost you?

So I was thinking back on it, and it turns out that skiing is getting fucking expensive! And I'm not even talking about just the regular expenses like skis gear and passes. I'm talking about the unexpected type of things. So here is what it has cost me so far:

4 cell phones

2 girlfriends

An ipod

4 broken ribs

3 concussions

A broken collarbone

2 trips to the E.R.

Thousands in medical bills ( it turns out catscans are expensive.)

And a $500 dollar ticket for having the wrong stuff in a pocket of my ski pants up on the hill.

Is it only me that all this is happening to?  Thank God skiing has made it all worth it, but I want to see what it has cost other NS'ers.

Cellphone mp3 player 3 concussions Thats about it though. I dont think I have lost friends by skiing, just gained some.

Many broken bindings

Shredded pants and jackets rendered useless after the season

A thumb that no longer functions properly

Relationships with family members

Not too bad, but I also snowmobile, dirt bike, and downhill mountain bike. These other sports really take their toll as well, but I'm never one to complain...I love my life, ask anyone!

To be honest apart from all the money and injuries the most profound thing is my social life. I mean i have an awesome girlfriend, but who knows how long she will last this ski season. And i really dont have many friends, i have like 3 close friends. And to be honest i dont need anymore, i feel closer to all the dudes i talk to randomly skiing on the weekdays than anyone from school. But yea i dont do much but ski

alright in all honestly how do you break 9 ipods and 10 cell phones. You'd think you'd learn after the fifth or sixth...

thats gotta be a shitload of cash - at least 100-150$/ipod and possibly more for a cellphone depending on what you have.

im in the retarded electronics user group.

i've lost like 2 cell phones in one season. i have sennheiser cx300 headphones and the rubber on one of the things came off so they didn't fill my ear canal up.
