I have the original demos. They weren't released again this season though. The new ones are coming out for 04/05 with a lighter plate and the strength to support the new technology. I've been very happy with mine, but some people have broken the first batch examples. Time will tell, I will be getting a pair of the new ones though. But I'll tell you one thing, the pivology system really does work. Read up on it at www.lineskis.com.

i Held the binding and played with all the pivogy stuff. It's an awesome bindings and looks very save and durable. I just really disliked how high off the ski it was, its like almost an inch off the ski when mounted on a line, and it's another .25 of an inch or so with the plate to mount on non line skis. is it just me or will that really mess up your center of gravity while in the park? my looks are probbaly only .25 inches off the ski. or 1 cm. please explain because if someone can convince me, I will buy that line binding.

I actually enjoy the rise, it adds sensitivity. It takes a bit of getting used to, granted. But I do enjoy ripping piste on high rise, carving feels great.

I think a smaller movement makes a bigger difference on a binding with a higher rise? I may not be correct but I have found this on my high reactors compared to the Looks I have ridden.

higher generally=quicker edge to edge, so if that's what you're thinking about, you'd be right.

When calibrating the reactors, do they go off of the same din charts used for other bindings. Or do they have differnt release values(seeing how they have differnt release points)?
He calls himself Lord of the Dance? I think we all know what happened the last time someone called themselves lord of anything.

they have such a great concept idea behind them. I bet this years will be awsome. The only thing that makes them a little lame is you only have one choice on where to mount them, you have to put it where there wholes are.

all the info is available on the line site but i think basically, the way your toe can release side to side, your heel can do that too kinda similar to the fisher bindings if you've seen them.

^i didn't get it too until i held and played with them. this will be the biggest help to you brother, and if you've ever held a look pivot or rossi axial and twisted the 'turn table' heel piece you'll know what i'm sayin.

When you turn the heel piece of the binding side to side, the toe piece of the binding moves in sync with the heel piece,, as you move the heel pice to the left, the toe piece moves the same degree to the left, and right, and vise versa. That is why there's all that material in the middle of the toe and heel pieces. the movement of the toe and heel pieces are as one. connected and they only move together and in the same angle/direction. amazing idea and safety

^SO does it take the same amount of force to release the bindings as compared to regular bindings? ie. do you use the same charts as rossi, marker, etc to calibrate the bindings?

SkierDave, thanks for that. That is a damn good idea, Im just curious about how the bindings keep a constant pressure on the boot as they travel through their arc. It would seem that as they boot moves sideways, the toe and heel must pivot their respective centre point, so as soon as you start to move in (or out of) the binding, there is less pressure on the boot to hold it in. Seems that once you start to get released, you are going to go all the way. That was a good thing about the axial bindings, in that they would allow you some elastic travel before they released you proper. I could be completely wrong of course, so I'll just shutup now.

im pretty sure you would use the same release settings as normal. the person testing them would just have to make sure their technique is correct when testing them so the heel piece doesnt more as they twist...ect...nevermind cause most people prolly dont know what im talking about

??? is how are they in powder? i saw Pollard on the prophits with the reactor but would it be better to go witht he 912ti's instaed if i'm getting the motherships

The way ^^That guy is falling, i think I'd prefer if my bindings didn't eject. I think it would be more painful at the moment, but it's probably better in the long run. Maybe it's just personal preference..

i dont like how far back y would be if u mounted them were line made the mounting holes. i hand scogend and the heel peice of my rossy binding covered the back two holes and was close to the next two holes. holes holes holes holes holes holes holes

Freezy, that is why they redid the binding construction. they made it much stronger, and lighter because they were AWARE of those problems due to their r&d and testing. plus you are all forgetting that this binding took 3 YEARS of thinking, constructing and testing. thats a lot dude.

but they only tested the first batch durring the summer on hood and whistler as soon as it hit freezing they snaped due the the cheap plastic (trying to cut cost) but they fixed that problem. i think i'll just stick to the 912 ti's

also Marker prob only spends maybe a few months designing/testing a new binding where these took 3 years. i guess if i was still big into jibbing i would go with them.

I am gettin a pair of pollards with the four holes to mount the binding, should I get the binding or just get some sweet looks. considering lines are more expensive...
