Alright, so i just figured out that the dalbello raves that I got for half price, were, in fact, way to big. i got them like 2 years ago, skied them a decent amount, and they really havent been that great
now that i work at a ski shop, i've found out how to really fit boots and what not, and figured out that I fit into a tecnica in a size 26 perfectly. by the time the boot packs out, i will have the prefect boot.
now the question is, Agent or Dragon?
I do a lot of various types of skiing. I am in the park occasionally, but to fuck around mostly. I like to bomb some nice groomers (here on the ice coast) and just carve and spray snow everywhere. I like to ski what ever pow i can find (very little) and i like to hang out in the trees where i get to ski a nice combo of ice/slush/dirt/tree roots.
I've been told that the Agent is more of a park boot, and the dragon is more of the all around boot.
I like them both, but here is the thing. I would get the Agent in 110, but the dragon 110 is a significant amount more. so then i was looking at the dragon 100, and i would add in the extra bolt that would increase the flex to about 110. The dragon 100 is a good amount cheaper than the agent 110.
I'm 5'9-5'10, 175 pounds (weight changes with seasons though), and an aggressive skier. Im 17, so im not exactly done growing
i was told my a guy at my shop that i could get the 100 and throw in the bolt, but i would be maxing out the boot at 110, and that if i ever wanted to go to 120, i would have to buy a new boot. instead, i should get the 110, and have the bolt in case i want to make the jump to 120, so im riding the low end of the boot with room to maximize as i grow
i have tried them on, had them fitted. its just a question now of how will i benefit the most? and i obviously can't test them out on the mountain, but that would be baller.
Also, tecnica seems to be out of the dragon 100 in 26.0 on 3point5 so that might be a problem too....
