Yeah, something as small as this can get you bounced out of a military academy. Hell, it can get you bounced out of Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy and that isn't even technically a "military" academy in a strict sense.

I'm a senior at West Point. Apparently he wanted to do the speech in front of us as if hes speaking to the army, or the future leadership of the army, for the next few years.

its just my personal opinion I'm a major conservative and can't stand Obama. That still is cool, maybe you should go up and shake his hand and pretend like you were supposed to do that. *cough* couple that shows up to his dinner with no invitation and gets through. *cough* I'm sure security will be as loose as before 9/11 considering some rando couple get's through.

He's been meeting with top military advisors inorder to maximize resources and restructure the forces over there so we can improve security and train the Afghan Army most effeciently. He didn't want to rush into it. The decision is completly endorsed by Gates, Mullen, and is very similar to what McChrystal asked for. thats why it took so long.
