this happens almost every year, 100 threads about it not snowing on the east does not magically jump start the snow fall.

bretton woods of all places is open, while we brace for another *ain storm thursday. this is why I am moving to SLC and going there to check out living situations this weekend. life after school is so much nicer :)

Whiteface Mountain  is in the process of making snow and same with Gore Mountain. They both and set an opening date of December 5.

killington has been open for a while, but i think they had a rough patch with rain last week and had to close for a couple days
sunday river has been open since mid october

seriously, its not even december. i am tired of seeing these threads when we really never have much skiing until mid december here on the eastcoast anyway. be patient, it is only a week and a half later than usual.

killington is still closed as of today. they opened on a couple of weekends and that is all. and sunday river has definitely not been open the whole time either, but are now.

you have to admit this is one of the worst starts to a season even for the east coast.

you guys are pretty lucky. non of my local mountains are blowing snow even though its like 25 degrees here in new york everyday. I'll have to travel up to gore or whiteface to get some skiing in.
