Well, Skis are a very large medium to work with. for a design to be printed across a ski which is normally up to the length of 182cm your design needs to be big enough to fit that. You can always scale up, but this generates some blurring to an otherwise crisp design. Vector is normally what is used when creating a skidesign, or most large format printed stuff. Vector is basically an object/solidcolored picture that you can scale up as much as you want without blurring because it is generated using Mathematics. Everything done in Adobe Illustrator is vector, therefore skidesigns from alot of companies are often done in Adobe Illustrator. But to me it looked like your design was big enough to fit on a ski.
