I ordered my 177 Line Afterbangs thinking they would have green bases, but they came in blue. I am cool with the blue but I was wondering if any one knew why some are green, blue, or white? Did Line change the colours because they didn't like what the bases were like before :S ? It would be great if any one knows the deal with this. Thanks guys.
It's a way of savign material. If you lay one blank green piece down, you can cut out a big Line and a little Line out of it. same with blue and white. then take the cut out pieces and place them in the cut out on a different colored base. Think about it, it makes perfect sense.
Sweet! Thanks man, that actually makes a lot of sense. Also kinda keeps the skis fresh so that every one at your local mountain doesn't have the exact same thing. But what about the white bases? I also noticed some 177's had blue or green top sheets.
this...but with 3 colors - mine are white on the bottom
Line does it with ALL their skis - some of the Anthems are blue with red, some are red with blue. The Chronics (and Cryptonites) also do this with black and white. And, it doesn't matter with size, all the sizes do the same thing.
no, they both switch - some Chronics have Black bases with White design, some of them have White bases with Black design. The same with the Cryptonites.
I've seen white bases in shops, it just has to do with getting as much as possible out of the material - they have 3 colors on each base, they simply rotate which color is where.
