Half-assed touring setup?

so i am looking for a (for lack of a better term) half-assed touring setup.  this will be used for small tours, no more than 1/2 mile 95% of the time with maybe a 5-10 mile tour to huts MAYBE once a year.  So i don't need it to be super light, instead the emphasis should be on the actual downhill skiing performance.  I am 6'3" 190lbs and am a 3+ skier.  i only ski fast and charge when there is pow, and hit cliffs up to 20ft, and have no plans for bigger (knees are a little sketch from all the football/baseball abuse).

So i was wondering if their where any other DOWNHILL bindings that could tour besides the barons/jesters.  Also i was thinking about getting last years seths, or something similar.  so offer up any insights and opinions. 

When i go on the longer tours i will go with a guide, otherwise it will be in the side country of Alpine/Squaw.

1. jesters dont tour
2. maybe alpine trekkers are an option to consider?
3. if not get barons/dukes

A 5-10 mile tour on BCA Trekkers will not work. They tend to twist off and get full of snow. Don't expect to be the guy cutting the skin track with Trekkers.

Marker's AT bindings are designed for slackcountry (what you sound like you're doing). They're great bindings, but their downfall is how much snow packs up under the plate that holds the heel piece to the toe. These are probably your best bet in terms of price. Be prepared to chop off a bit of ice when trying to relock your heel.

Frischi Freerides are the ideal AT binding for long skins or skinning in super deep snow. If money isn't an issue, those are always my choice.

Half assed touring? Sounds like a SAR callout in the works.

Frischis suck if your gonna tour long dynafits. Short or side country Duke barons. Actually thee is a dude over on tgr making a plate that when mounted to a ski will allow You to swap out those two bindings with muliple mount positions.
