How To TwinTip Your Skis

How do you give skis with no tip in the back a tip?? I've seen and heard of many people that have done it. Example: these people would just take old Elans and make the backs go up somehow and use them as twintips.. it looks so old school and cheaper, even if its not quality. So if you know how to do it, let me know!!!!

there is some thread about this somewhere about a wk back or so if you want to try it; but yeah man RT is right. just heat em up and go ghetto i guess.

ask conifercatcher (Rusty). he is the master at it. b asically what you do is slice the tail horizontally and then bend it and epoxy that shit together.

heres some pics thanks to conifercatcher...his instructions...

You make about 8 cuts across the tail, about half way through the skis. Then you heat up the tail with a heat gun. Then you clamp the tails into a vise and form the desired shape. Then you fill the craks in with epoxy. P.S. dont do this with skis that you really like.

We have been getting very good at twintipizing skis. Thats pretty much what keeps us busy. Anyways those were the basic instructions up there^^, so if anyone needs me to elaborate more, just let me know. We have also figured out how to take the graphics off of the topsheets, so that they are solid black.
He calls himself Lord of the Dance? I think we all know what happened the last time someone called themselves lord of anything.

i took some old rossi skis and boiled then and put then under a door and pushed up slowly givin it more pressure....it worked right good....till the broke...

i was thinking about going to salvation army and getting an old ghetto pair of ski's for like 8 bucks and doing this to them for urban jibbing. would have never thought to cut slits in the tails.thanks.

I use a heat gun (aka a suped up hair dryer). And the only reason I put the slits in the tail is to keep the ski from breaking. The reason that I wouldnt boil the skis is because you dont want any water to get into the ski when you are bending the tail. Hope that helps.
