CELL PHONE PLANS

that sucks...do you live in Washington? Verizion has solid coverage just about everywhere

i split an at&t family plan with my brother, unlimited texting and data/internet with a lot of minutes but not unlimited, and we pay like 60 each. you are probably looking at 70 whichever way you go, unlimited is usually worth it because overages are a bitch.

I've no idea if Koodo is available in the states but I pay about $25 CAD a month and I get unlimited text, unlimited calling after 7 and 100 anytime min.

i'm not sure if you boost mobile is an option out there, but you can get text, calling, and internet for a set rate each month, and there is no contract you just pay as you go

if i didnt already have a contract with alltel/verizon thats where i would go

verizon (alltel) / at&t = most expensive cell phone carriers

t-mobile / sprint / metropcs are the less expensive carriers.

Cheapest voice plan on Verizon with mobile to mobile night and weekends and after 9pm callin free  is $39.99 a month with 450 minutes. Text is extra. I had a $15 text plan that allowed like 1500 texts a month I think it was and unlimited mobile to mobile. My bill without insurance was like 60.59 every month.


You are going to pay about $50-60 a month to talk a bit and text people though...........truth.

My bill now has a $10 texting plan, $30 data plan, $40 voice plan, and 7 insurance plan. So I have just over $95 every month for a bill now.

This is all with Verizon....

That sucks your parents are cuttign you off. Try and reason with them and see if you can pay $35 a month, or convince them that they are saving money by keeping you on their family plan somehow.

if you can just stay on their plan, and pay them your share it would definitely save you some money opposed to being on your own contract

Don't even bring cell phones in to the equation. If the kid struggles to afford his own plan like a bling ass phone is the next thing on his mind costing him $200 or something.

Getting picky about cell phones here isn't what to do unless you got money to burn.

My guess is he is probably consuming a large portion of the cell phone plan that he is sharing with his parents, and his parents want him to "check himself" and see just how much it costs for him to sit and send 140 character messages and talk to his friends on the phone at any time.

Im just saying I know like 24 year olds and shit still on family plans but the family has always had some sort of agreement for usage / splitting the bill.

You don't build credit with a cell phone, you just lock yourself in to 2 year contracts.

If my parents cut me off their plan. i would go and get a walmart cell phone. no lie.

$45 a month, (no contracts) and you get unlimited EVERYTHING. or they have a $30 a month plan, with less, but still remarkably cheap. IDK how their coverage is though.

at&t has a go phone plan that is $60 a month with unlimited text and talk. you could even use your same at&t phone you have now.

METROPCS

they are redefining the cellular phone business with some radical ass shit (read up on it). they have plans that are around $20 a month that would cost $60 or so with verizon or att.  Its really interesting to read how they plan to take over the cell phone business.

60 bones is sort of a lot fr an at&t go phone, and metropcs doesnt provide service in my area. boost mobile has a plan thats a dollar a day with unlimited texting and unlimited weekends, an 10cents a minute talk during the week, sounds like a pretty good deal to me but not too sure yet if its the best
