I have bought Armada THall with the Marker Griffon binding but I havent mounted them yet. And since they arent symmetrical I wonder if I should i mount them dead center? or a little back? i ski 100% park. 50-50 rails and jumps.
Personally I would mount them center - I mounted my AR6s center and they were awesome on rails and jumps. If you are worried about I wouldn't mount them any farther back than -1.5, but if you feel comfortable riding a center mounted ski then go for it. The center mount just makes it a bit harder on groomers, but you can get used to it pretty easily.
having a ski not be symmetrical doesnt mean that center mount will be bad. I mounted my pipe cleaners center and love them. If it were me i would mount them center, especially if your going to be doing a lot of jibbing and grinding -- Equal swing weight.
Don't mount center... People like there center mounted skis because they may still be good mounted center, but they aren't able to compare to how the ski is mounted back a bit. Skis carve better mounted a few back, plus the skis were designed to be mounted back, so they will perform best there. Not sure where the Armada team mounts thalls, but for Pipe Cleaners the farthest forward any of the main guys go is 1.5 back(Tanner) and up to 3 back(Auclair). Find somebody who has spent time at multiple mounts and ask them what they like about them, or even email Armada and ask them where a few of the main guys like them and why.
I would say that center and -1 would be fine. You don't want to sacrifice tail length for a 100% park ski. I ski backwards a lot and like having just as much tail as tip. Though when I was on watch life's I mountd like 1 cm behind dead center. For a park ski you don't really have to carve it. Most park skiers don't know how to carve either, so whatever category you think you fall in, go for it.
