why hate on the east coast?

its not that bad. some mountains are having little comps and what not. you just need to look harder to find a good ride.

thereare a few mountains with good setups in nh and maine if you live up near there.

and there are obvious reasons for the hate on the east coast. Why take 150 inches of snow when you could have 400? Everyone likes powder. And fuck "searching around" for a ride, I want to thoughtlessly jump onto my home lift and shred the gnar and have no bones about it

Don't feel too bad man. I moved out west this year to ride, but there's so many people and so high unemployment, that I can't find a resort job (and I have 4 years management experience at a resort). And with the prices of passes out here, I will barely ride this year. I would give an arm to be back in the midwest. I have yet to ride this year.

just watched the weather and they've just confirmed how crappy this month has been.  About 20 degrees warmer than average, NO SNOW AT ALL IN THE WHOLE FRICKIN MONTH OF NOVEMBER, and even though we got a teence bit in October we're already like 8 inches behind our usual annual snowfall which is only 40 inches to start with.  Oh how i love Minnesota.

I'm so happy to live in Vancouver. About as far West as you can before you're on an island. My local hill has been open with a consistently updated jib park since November 13th. Yay west coast.

But really it's about time you east coast boys got some snow. It's depressing to read everyday about how deprived of skiing you guys are.

EC isn't too bad if you live near a mountain. I do feel for you though because I know where you live, and that shit must blow. Come down and visit if you can, you always got a place to stay and you know it.
