Pretty Good: too much tail?

I bought Pretty Good yesterday, and loved watching it, but i got tired of seeing the same grab over and over again. Its almost every other grab. Just wondering if anyone noticed the same thing.

um. aren't all the competitions won by dub cork 12's and 10's with a high mute? so what difference does it make seeing a movie with only tail grabs.

You sir are stupid. I was comparing the fact that in the ski movies they generally have the same grabs, well most have different but pretty good didn't have much variety in my opinion too, and that at comps everyone does the same trick.

There are a lot of things i noticed there being too much of in Pretty Good, but tail grabs weren't one(not to say there wasn't too many of them, i just didn't notice). There was certainly enough good bits in there to make a good film, but I didn't like it cause of what there was too much of that i did notice- the following, shots from park shoots, shots from the same angle, the same trick on the same obstical, sections, riders...

Quality, Rage, not quantity! Thanks. =)

yea it's the thing about dub corks, everyone's grabbing tail or mute only.

what i didn't like about pretty good was the part 1 - part 2 system.  i mean it's so boring to watch a obstacle get killed and then after half an hour you see the same obstacle with exactly the same riders again, stupid.

no "sir" what you were saying was stop complaining that all the do is tail grabs because thats what they do in comps. Comps you do what needs to be done to get points. In a movie creativity is key, and non-existent in this case.

too much park and the tricks are really repetitive, they should of made the movie a lot shorter

it felt like endless big mountain line after big mountain line.  and the same tricks were done over and over again.  it got boring real fast

your right their easy thats why they grab them in comps because its the only thing they can get with their increasingly difficult rotations. Think before starting arguments.

after seeing refresh, i was really bored.

Same angles, same camera movements.

Is it really that hard to do a sick follow cam? Or a nice crane shot from waaaay above the rider?

Tail grab is the gold standard dude... There can never be too much tail grab. Candide has been one of the best, and one of my favorites doing nothing but tail and the occasional mute for how long now?

i don't remember too much blunt being grabbed. but i remember it being repetitive.
plus there's never too many blunt grabs. at least there wasn't too much tindy haha.

This is the epitome of what is wrong with that movie:

They have shots of at least 4 people doing switch 12 mutes on that Mt Bach. jump.  The exact same angle. The exact same trick.

i enjoyed the movie but the first 2 shot were rubbish. especially the first. dude rolled off like a 10fter and made a right turn. yeah the pow was pretty deep but it was not a banger opening shot for a movie. it let me down.

But since when does mute, nose, japan, and safty grabs = tail grabs? And anyways tail grabs are by far the sickest grab and much better than mute IMO

Also people are doing dub corks with different grabs. Guess you didn't see Colby's dub cork in the JOSS edit..or Kentworthy's dub cork with a mute to japan...And in comps people are doing double grabs with dub corks now...So I dunno what movies or comps you have been watching/reading about?

Even if it is a tail grab everyone does it a little differently, but if the riders are shooting together they should talk with the filmer so they are not doing all the same thing..

im sure they were doing different tricks on different hits, but the editor should have mixed up the shots, but maybe those were the best ones, who knows
