IIRC the alpha 1s and the alpha 2s are the same construction except the 1s have a race base and the 2s have a slightly softer base. I ride last years 170 Alpha 1s (5'3") and I love them. I was riding 170 Head Mojos before and I could notice a difference in swing weight. The slight rocker helps with sw-ups and butters as well. Super super fun ski.... get it if you can IMO.

a few, you can check my profile for pics of me standing with my 169 seth pistols if you are curious. i like bigger park skis. I am mainly hitting big jumps here in CO and I like the stability much better. no problem spinning onto rails or sw-ups so i see no need to go smaller.

it's not about total length, it's about running length. Cause its a rockered ski you can get it longer. For example, I skied 176 Ar6s, if I were to buy Alphas I'd get the 181.

I'm also considering the alpha 2's. What's the flex like compared to the AR6's or T-halls?

because of the rocker... they dont want to be skiing with more on the back(running length remember...) it would be like mounting +3 from center
All times are Eastern (-5)
