Hey, i finally got this video up, that i made back in october. Just seeing what you guys think. Mostly editing wise.I used a cannon hf200,  Also, I had a lot trouble getting it to publish,it wouldnt publish in 16:9 or full hd. for that matter. So other than that. What do u think? im the guy in the red shorts, and yellow shirt.

I mean there isn't all that much editing.  I really recommend that you change up the engles every so often.  Even if you're just leaving the camera on a tripod.  It's really hard to watch it all from the same spot.

I would try to cut down on the crossfades.

The thing is.......when you're filming, you should be filming with a certain idea of how you want to edit it.

Trust me man I know all about that.  It sucks for sure, but at the end of the day you feel accomplished.  I have that problem a lot.  Filming cuts into my own progression on my shred stick, but I love both filming and snowboarding so I have to find some type of balance.

 luckily my cam has a remote so i can ski and film at the same time sometimes

more angles, maybe something handheld, follow, dolly, crane, etc.
editing for the most part to the beat of the music, but always keep it in mind.
zoom out! seemed like i watched a lot of legs doing rails, not people
get new skis for everyone, #9 needs to sell his snowblades.

To be honest, you can't do much editing with that one shot - what would've helped is if you cut down on the amount you put into the final edit.  Showing us every clip didn't enhance our perception of your session, it just bores us because the shots are all the same.  I would've cut that down to less than a minute - the rest is extraneous.

Again, its tough to edit when you have no diversity in your footage to really edit with.  That's the beauty of video - you can't do it all on the computer.

Next time, take a little more time in moving the camera around, getting some nice shots, and spending some time doing overall filming stuff.  I know exactly what you mean when you say you want to ski and get shots too; its the same way with me.  You need to either find a balance, though, or focus completely one on the other because one of them is going to suffer - in this case it was the filming.  It took me a while to find this balance.  Take your time.

definitely mix up the angles more, and work on your pans. I always suggest this, and no one really ever seems to understand the value of it, but it's ok to let the skier continue out of frame. When you follow him down the rail, to the landing and keep panning it makes it really shitty place to cut on. Instead stop moving the camera at the end of the rail so the last thing we see before the skier goes out of frame is them hitting the ground. Unless they fall, or hit something and it's funny, there's nothing worth seeing after they land. Also try to match the feel of whatever song you're cutting to. I felt like the song had so much more energy than the edit did, so it didn't really match well.

well, its pretty much been said but you have to concentrate more on the filming. now about the editing. the effects are too harsh and dont seem to match with the music. for example when you zoom in or shake or do both, it is way too in your face. make the video have more effects matching with the music but make them subtle

first rail with actual snow, i really wanted to ski, so we all did a little filming here and there. I will keep what you guys said in mind tho, thanks for all the comments.
