Subject: A question about your skis



I seriously have fallen in love with the idea of skiing on your latest and
greatest ski model, the prophets. I was just wondering how I might be able
to go about getting a pair of prophets from you guys. I know that they are
hard to get and that you guys only make so many, but if money is the main
issue, that isn't a problem. I am willing to pay what it takes to get a pair
of prophets, and I certainly could afford it with all the cash I have been
making at work. So please just e-mail me back with a set of guidelines or
whatever, I am guessing you guys will get back to me with a big fat NO in
reply. Oh well, its worth a shot. Thanks.

yeah they pressed such a limited run of them, a good amount going straight to pollard and the rest of the team that wanted them, none are for sale. im sure theres a few somewhere in the factory waiting for someone to get them

im still not understanding riding a ski with 130mm underfoot. There is no need for something that wide, and all you will be able to ski is wide open pow. You wont be able to ski technical stuff cuz they are so fucking fat

that is what yhey are made for. they are specialized for explanding what you can do in the nipple deep powder. they might even come out with a hybrid powder ski to pond skimmer idea

they were basically given as a gift from line to the skiing elite. which would be there team (pollard, skogen, wilson, dash, mike) and levinthal probably have 2 or 3 that are his. Pollard alone probably have 2 or 3 because we have seen shots of him with at least two different ones. Maybe some of their amatuers have a pair. and then they probably sold them to other guys. The prophets are easily the most mysterious ski ever.

Yeah, if you read the Eric Pollard interview in Freeze, he explained how he wanted a really really thick ski.

He said he mounted 2 snowboards with bindings and rode them. He only got a few runs with them, but when he was skiing switch in powder, he had one of the sickest runs ever because the snowboards were so easy to turn with.

i don't even think theres a need for that ski at a resort or any backcountry location, i could see stomping cliffs would be easy shit on those but as a whole, i think they are overkill. you can only sink into snow so much and even with the motherships its not a whole bunch. the whole point of skiing powder is to be ride and flow in it. they def. are sick skis, which could be applied to good use in wide open steep faces, but i wouldn't want to deal with all that ski.

unless your skiing bottomless pow and are workin on stickin ticks switch into it, then you probabaly dont have any use for that ski, thats what its made for and they didnt make to many cause not a lot of people get ski deep deep snow

Resnick 13, Pollard said nothing about strapping on two snowboards and having the best fakie powder run, he was talking about the actual prophets. It was shane McConkey that skiied with two snowboards.

Also, I dont see why everyone thinks its so insane to ski on a ski with a 130mm waist, its not impossible to ski down groomed runs on them, look at skiboarders, they are 120mm in the waist. I realize they would suck on groomed runs, but not too the point were they would be intolerable if you get stuck on one.

Prophets are heavy, dont waste you time paying as much money as you can all you guys are in it for the hype. DO yourself a favor and buy a pair of Drake Boinary Tabla Rasa skis 118mm waist 900 usd plus its carbon fiber and will easly last long than the prohphet. Also the talba rasa has a swallowtaill, phrophets dont (what kind of pow ski is that?) Guess line forgot to add that feature. dumb cunts

Hey Fortskier, Do you realize that Prophets and The tabla rasa are not for the same kind of skiing? The Prophets are for landing switch in deep powder off big backcountry hits, good luck doing that with a swallow tail. They are also made for big lines, but thats not their main purpose. Comparing those two is like comparing Rossi B3s with Scratch BCs.

Yea I know that they are totally different design concepts, but personally I rather have the Tabla Rasa, pure powder ski. You can any radius turns with that ski. Just seems like the prophets are just another super fat twin tip thats all.
