I/O Fit With Helmet

Anybody know how the smith io's fit with a helmet? I know they have that plastic clip on the strap, wondering if that affects how well they stay on.

ive got an encore 2. i was lookin at the splices but my friend works for christy sports and can get me proform price on the io's so i just wanted to make sure theyd work out
