I have a chance to pick up some old 05-06 line invaders with look p10's for 80 bucks. Is it worth getting them, or will they just get trashed right away. They only have some topsheet scratches, and a tad bit of delam. I know these skis a prone to delam, so could i just cut the delam off and glue the end down. Also, I only ski about twice a week and I'm pretty easy on my gear. Do you think I could get a couple seasons of low-key use out of these if I treat them with extra care? Thanks. +karma for help
I certainly don't see why not. I mean for 80 bucks if they're in good shape and you take care of your gear than go for it if you think its a good buy. I wouldn't worry too much about the build quality. Especially at that price point. I mean take care of them of course; but at worst you get a season or two out of them, it was a good buy.
If they already started to delam I definatly do not think you will get a few seasons out of them. Maybe one if you glue it real well, but you probably will have to keep doing it over and over again because most glues just wont be strong enough.
