Anybody do any Case mods on there desktops? I have been working on my case for a little while now. I'll post a pic

well I didn;t really do it myself (ya I know, I am a sellout) but I have a green case with 6 bright blue leds on the front around the edge, a nice window, fans on the top back and side that light up with yellow blue and red leds and a window. ($40 total for the case!!!)

I was refering to the guts of the computer not the case. the knobs your are refering to are part of my fan controller. Each one controls the rpms of a fan or a section of fans. the fan controller also has temp monitors connected to my hard drive, cpu, powersupply, and overall case. If the temps get to hot an alarm goes off.

I put in the optical drives, soundcard, vid card and hard drive myself. also I organized the natty mess they call a wireing job. my case has a tamp readout on it. is yours O.C.ed? mine was a 2080mhz athalon xp 2700 and I messed arouns with the core and the multiplyer (actually I lowered the core but upped the multiplyer) to a respectable 2.2ghz. I currently have 512 mb of ram but will get another stick of 512 soon. I have a ATI Radon 9700 with 256 mb. 80 gig hard drive and dvd rom and 52x cd burner. it is sort of basic (I guess) but I can trin up the graphics in both Halo and UT 2003 all the way and have no problems...

mine was $800 total! I bought basically barebone from www.cyberpowerinc.com . (I bought the case, mother board processor, video card, and soundcard for about $700, and then bought the rest at best buy, and after I got the rebaits back from bast buy it was about 800

I love finding deals online. I got that fan controller for 20 bucks shipped. I spent about 900 bucks last september building this up. With most of the cost going into hardrives and a dvd burner. I have two Westerm Digital 160 gig 8mb cache hard drives and a asus dvd burner. it's a epoc ep-8rda+ mobo with only 512mb pc2700 ram. Only thing its lacking is a good video card.

It is a Amd Athlon XP Barton 2500/333. It is not super fast, but it is not slow. I'll get a new cpu next year when they are a bit cheaper

My case is sweet...I spent a ton of money on a new black chrome paint job (did it myself, even the internal framework), have a few led fans and some cold cathode lights. and I modded my mouse so the led is blue.

I plan to put more into it but dont have the money

case modding is WAY over rated. It's like puting on ground kits and lighting on a car. it's just for looks. If you're gonna spend $$, fucking do it on the stuff that makes the comp good.

it doesnt have the window or the 6 bright blue leds, it still has te side fan and the temp readout, i plan to add a blowhole, window, cathodes, and i plan to design my own fan speed controller.

case modding is like a hobby, its not about just making it look cool, well yeah it is, but its also like building models or shit like that.

Not all mods are for looks. the blowholes increase airflow and my fan controller is great for monitoring and controlling the temps in my case.
