I'm not sure what's on that thread, but your liner is only going to last you 100-120 days of skiing. If you ski that many times in a season, your boots only last a season. If you ski 20 times a year, your boots should last 5-6 years. Now, what heat molding does is just take away the break-in of the boot and make sure the tongue/heel pockets mold to your foot in a consistent manner. Does it take days off your boot. Yes, but it's less than 10. Does it wreck your boots? Absolutely not. You can have 120 days in your boot and the first 8 suck OR you can have 112 days in your boot and love every day of it.
