Curious about tobacco

as the title says, lately ive been curious about tobacco and other such things

Ive never smoked tobacco, weed maybe 2-3 times a year, and drinking about as much, im by no means straight edge

Im turning 18 next month and ive always said i was gonna go out and purchase lotto tickets and cigars/handrolleds/hookahs/etc...mainly because i can, but i dont really know much about any of that stuff.

Though im sure i will try it, im just not sure whats actually worth it. I know the dangers and such, but its not like i would be doing it regularly, more along the lines of my weed/alcohol usage.

so if you guys can provide some useful insights, amidst the crap thats going to be thrown in(this is NSG) that would be great...id assume there are others out there with similar questions

Buy a briar pipe and some black captain royal gold pipe tobacco. You look so badass, and you feel pretty happy too. Plus, its more of a habit then an addiction. I smoked a pipe every day for a few weeks and then ran out, its been months since I smoked

just because you aren't inhaling doesn't mean you aren't getting any nicotine. it is absorbed thru your mouth, albeit not as quickly as the lungs. you can still become addicted.

i'll join everyone in saying that I wish I had never started smoking. I quit six months ago, but I still crave one every now and again.

That's barely even smoking compared to most people I know who smoke. People who have 10+ years of habits built up have a little tougher time.

I know how to roll. But if we are just chilling somewhere its so much easier to just whip out my roller and roll like 10 really quick and put them in my case

why are you even posting? you smoked 2 cigarettes a day for a month, its not that hard of a habit to quit when you never started in the first place.

I started smoking more regularly in 2006 when I worked at a place where everyone smoked, kinda got caught up in it. Now, if I smoke I'll only do it while drinking, trying to smoke cigarettes while sober they don't taste good at all so I think I've created some kind of barrier against it, which is good.

If there's any way to talk you out of smoking or even trying, then don't do it is my advice. Smoking is not a cool thing to do anymore and there really is no buzz to it, here in Finland a new law came in bars and restaurants that you can't smoke inside and then you'll be the only one who smells like shit if your friends don't smoke. I quit cold turkey last year and didn't even want that shit near me for 10 months until a bad break up raised the old "stress-easing" habit back from its grave.

I still do chew and smoke cigars cause I just can't really seem to kick either of those. Those still count as tobacco yes?

If I could have a choice, between my 18 year old kid smoking a pack of smokes over 2 days, or dropping one hit of E that was unadulterated, I would choose the latter. Seriously, you buy one pack and the addiction just appears, and the worst part is you don't even realize it for like 2 months and then you are like fuck!

Go to the titty bar instead, probably more nasty chemicals in a cig than a strippers rotten cooter anyways.

if your feeling risky, pour a little hard alc into your tin and mix that shit around. pack a lip and get an alcohol buzz at the same time. its pretty gross though, it ruins the taste of the dip and is all mushy and shit.

hookahs are awsome , um i smoke cigarettes, id say try one if ur not one to get addicted to stuff but other wise the suck , there gross and girls hate it buy when u first start u geta buzzz haha , if u get cigars get somthing good not somthing from the g-station for a doller, and dip is gross

I've been smoking drunk for 2 years or so. I've smoked once sober, and I HATED it.

As long as you know you won't get addicted, go for it.

I would smoke anything while drunk, I love playing with smoke, it just so happens that cigarettes are around.

If you smoke sober, you will cough your lungs out. Especially with the amount of weed you smoke.

i enjoy smoking menthol cigarettes alot.  i dont feel addicted; it is easy for me to buy a pack and smoke for a few days, and then not buy another pack for several weeks or months.  I bum them alot when i am drunk or if i just blazed, but i could never see myself as a person who smoked like 10 cigs a day, even five.

yo wraps are garbage. they might be cheaper but they burn way faster and they definately dont satisfy my need to crack a blunt and twist it up, like a man.
and idk who is talking about splittin blacks? white owls, swishers, dutchies, games, never blacks though

not stupid, its the truf...
he's obviously curious so he's gonna smoke a cig at some point, and he will be fine. of course there is more damage done than to the lungs, but they take the biggest hit. smoking weed is in no way better for you, people just say that cuz it gets you high, (which is great dont get me wrong).
so i'll repeat myself...
you only live once (you could die tomorrow) so MINEASWELL smoke it up

i wouldnt suggest smoking every day, maybe 3 times a week, cause the more you smoke the more easily you become addicted, you should try Black n Milds there a bunch of different flavors, they r a type of cigarello, and make sure u buy woodtip black n milds, they are much more enjoyable

Thats the cool thing here right now. Kids who dont know shit hollow out blacks and then just refill the wrap so they dont have to do anything that takes skill. Then they go around bragging about how they smoke blunts haha.

I udnerstand the occasional cigar or hookah. It honestly won't hurt your health too bad.  But do not start dipping. One of the worst nicotine addictions in my view. Friends i know who are addicting to dipping try to stop but cant. They just end up doing cigarretes cause they need so much nicotine from dipping. also, you see the negative effects of dipping sooner than you will smoking. 

Just stick with the occasional  cigar/hookah and stay away from dipping. (stay away from cigarrettes too).

A few of my friends as well as myself dip, but usually its not 24/7 and its the weak shit (Redman, Levi Garrett) however none of us have gotten addicted. I don't see myself getting addicted to it but i make sure i not to over do it.

The problem with cigs is they come in packs of 20. Thats enough to get addicted. I have smoked like half a pack in the last 3 weeks, I pretty much only smoke when I drink and I think it is definitely a social thing to do, a good excuse to get out of a party and talk to people in quiet. I don't have a problem with social smoking and If I ever feel the need to have one, I throw out/give away the pack and don't smoke for awhile.

One thing to remember is they only make you feel good for awhile (or so I'm told) after you are addicted you need them to feel good instead of just getting a little buzz. so don't fuck around with it, and if you start smoking more casually than like one a day stop while you can!
