i was sorta thinking the $100-200 ranger b/c the booters will be waaaaay to expensive.  i know of a few good boots but not what price ranges they fall into. Im also trying to see if there are any price point freestyle boots out there that i may not know about

if they fit your feet, dont be a dumbass and just get spks or full tilts because the pros wear them. they have different fits (different width different lenght) which having a boot that doesnt fit you is a waste of money. on the other band full tilts mold to your feet making them fit fairly well

there aren't going to be any new (09/10) boots in the $100-$200 range that you will be psyched on unfortunately, especially boots that have freestyle features on them.  your only hope is to find a closeout from last year or something not-so-used on EBAY, but I strongly discourage you from buying a used boot.

I have tecnica's, not the agent 80's, but from what I've heard, and my experiences, try other things. Not to say if it fits you don't buy it, cause if it fits, thats great and you should go with them. My techicas fit really poorly and my feet and shins hurt every time after and during skiing, plus my toes were destroyed.

Go to a shop and try on like every boot they have, or at least one from each company so you can see what fits the best. That's what I'm going to go do.

If you get the correct fit, the boot will kick ass at everything.  I know that flies in the face of every manufacturer's marketing campaign, but it's true.  Thus, get the boot that best fits your specific feet, flexibility, and overall stature and I promise you it will be awesome. And footbeds, always get those too.

As a boot fitter I'm tired of telling people to go to their local boot fitter ( if they know what the fuck they are talking about) and get boots that fit their feet, so go buy a random pair of full tilts and hope they fit u fucking newb, Oh and please keep making posts like this (random ass people telling u what is gonna fit ur feet)...LMAO

Ive been getting random assed used boots in any type of git for the 14 years ive been skiing and this is the first time ive ever had to look into getting a new pair of boots. I didnt really know what to buy or how to buy boots so I needed a little help from the people of NS. Stop being a jerk and help me out like most of the other people

As a professional boot-fitter myself, ski boot design consultant, and a boot tester for SKI Magazine, I can tell you that your advice is counter-productive to helping this kid find a pair of boots that fit him.  Yes, I understand that you can't do a boot-fit online, BUT we can offer him some advice so he is better prepared and more knowledgeable so when he goes to try things on he has more of a chance to finding the correct fit.  Also, not every kid on NS has the ability to get their boots fit at a SIA Shop of the Year.  Sometimes they just have the small local shop that tries.  This is why this forum exists, so people can ask questions and others can give good, sound advice.

it's fine to give this kid suggestions as long as he goes and tries on the boots after. theres no problem with helping him narrow down his list, but just don't encourage him to buy a boot off the internet and hope it fits

GO BIG OR GO HOME!

When buying boots (this is what I think.) you should buy the boots that fit you the best and the boots that you REALLY want and just dont look at the price. But if you dont have money (this was me for like 3 years) just buy cheap second hand boots while you save up!
