Word, in Feb the park is pretty good. It's not a huge park, but it's good. Plus the mountain is overall pretty sick.

Yeah I'm going in December too. How are the non-park skiing aspects of it, I'm going to Vermont and don't know where to go. I'll be bringing my disorderly's since those are my only sticks.

Nothing much in December, probably some rails and boxes. I don't think the mountain is even opening till early December...

It seems like they have good trees and such. True statement? I'm going in Dec and well, I can ski park here in NJ. Vacation=not park, lots steep stuff, trees and whatever I can find that NJ doesn't have.
I also checked their site and they say they demo line skis, if they have elizabeths then I know what i'm doing.

they have a lift that runs sometimes to cross the valley. Also there is a shuttle bus to get from one side to the other

yeah the lift is "slide brook express" and it will definitely be running during the holidays when both ellen and lincoln are open. don't go to north though b/c it sucks. you want to go to lincoln peak

Uhhh shut up North is way sicker than South, Exterminater Woods, Hole in the Wall, the terrain park are all at North. Plus there's less turkey's around.

They are no where close to open. They don't open the full scale park until a few weeks after they open, it has recently been around christmas or later for the actually full park.

They have a good mountain, but maybe look at Jay Peak or Mad River for non-park stuff.
I would say that North is overall sicker, North (Mt. Ellen) has the park and doesn't have the huge lodge that attracts all the gapers. Sugarbush has been putting a huge focus on South (Lincon Peak) because of the new development, so the rich tourists go there. Early season South is better just because they're trying to get it open, but once North opens I stay there.

yeah mad river is literally a mile down the road from north, however if the snow is falling castlerock is fucking epic. (castlerock is on the Lincoln side.)
All times are Eastern (-5)
