I just used my 177 Volkl Walls with marker griffons yesterday and had a freakin blast. These skis killed the park. The ski is light, durable, and spins with ease. The ski even performed well all mountain. Just thought id let you guys know in case your in the market for a new pair of skis. Walls are not the the cheapest skis but you get what you pay for.
i've got the same setup in 185 and i can't wait to ride them.
also, im pretty sure they have a race base this year. when i waxed them i noticed they had the same kind diagonally striped base that my volkl race skis do.
I just sent them to be mounted -1 , is this a big mistake ?? I talked to guy at my local shop and he came to the conclusion that If I wasn't 100% in the park I shouldnt mount them center..
What do you think? I still have time to phone him tomorow to change my call. peace.
I would mount them center I thought they still worked great all over. The ski is 115 in the tip and tail so I think you are supposed to mount them center.
It's a symmetrical ski, so mounting them ANYWHERE other than center is gonna be a bad time, it's recommend at center because that's the highest point of the sidewall and is the best place to ride them no matter where you're riding them.
i didn't notice the difference in stiffness between the three years, and i have skied all three...maybe they are softer, but they are still damn fun regardless of stiffness...
^^and mount them dead center, it is a symmetrical ski, so it doesn't make sense to mount it anywhere but center...you can still ski them fine all over the mountian, you just might be making slight adjustments to where your weight is through turns but they still ski great...
