What are some connections that the story of frankenstein makes with your life, I have a 10 pager due tomarrow and I have 5 done, quotes would be nice, and serious answer will get karma!

Here are a few ideas:
1. You can discuss the ways in which Frankenstein is alienated throughout the book.
-this can easily apply to anyone's life. Give an example of a time in which you felt outcasted from
your friends or a group of people and how it felt.
-Perhaps this alienation drove Frankenstein to kill.
-If you think that is true than you can give examples of how alienation led to the columbine massacre or V-tech shooting.

2. This is a big one; talk about knowledge and its abuses.
-Example in Frank was obviously his creation.
-Other examples include stem cells, nuclear weapons, cloning.

Look up neo-luddism. It is a group of people that are against the advancement of technology. I wrote a paper on Frankenstein and compared it with these people. Good luck...frankenstein sucks to write about.

The presence of fire in the text Frankenstein is similar to Prometheus. The Greek god Prometheus gave the knowledge of fire to humanity and was then severely punished for it. Victor, attempting to become a modern Prometheus, is certainly punished, but unlike fire, his “gift” to humanity—knowledge of the secret of life—remains a secret.
