Replying to Yet another what should my export settings be at. (big file)

so I have a 25 minute long ski movie that I want to export in hd for vimeo.

i'm having trouble getting it to look good and stay under 500mb. Normally I don't do stuff this long haha.

Should I just buy a plus account?

my export settings for trying it were
quicktime
h.264
at 5000kbps

i tried lower and lower kbps but its still over and the quality has gone down to far for comfort.
