I agree that human caused global warming is a huge scam, but seriously, if you're gonna make a post like that, back that shit up with facts, not a generalization based on 10 years of cooler temperatures and a short term weather phenomenon.

No way man. I think this is just the beginning of a long term disaster. and as for backing my facts i used 2012 as a reference which broadly sums up and backs my point. And i feel that the volcanoes are responsible for the colder temperatures these past few weeks.

Certainly you are feeling one of the effects of global warming with a drop in temperature. "Global Warming" is characterized by its average rise in temperature, but you won't be feeling the complete effects of this average rise in the winter. Some of the effects of global warming include increases in intensity of extremes and that is simply what you are experiencing currently. In other words, your summers will feel much warmer and your winters will be much colder.

You can't even believe in global warming or believe that global warming isn't caused by humans. Belief has no place in science.

Aside from that tangent. 2012 is not a good reference. You cannot pin point a short cooling period directly to volcanoes. You can make a correlation to the Mt. Pinatubo eruption in the Phillipines in what, 1990? to very cold temperatures that year. On such a short time scale, we cant pin point this weather to anything really. It's just weather. Extremes are normal. So are temperature records. We've only been recording temperatures for a little while so they are bound to be broken all the time.

Cold temperatures (in the last 10 years and beyond) can be directly correlated with the solar conveyor belt and the number of sunspots. Throughout history, theres a direct relation of low numbers of sunspots to low temperatures on earth. Right now, there are either no sunspots or very little. The sunspots could certainly be the cause, but there are many other factors.

too add to my last post I think it is quite ignorant to disagree with global warming. It IS happening, most people who disagree with it just don't want to admit we are ruining our planet. That being said I don't really give a fuck. I am probably going to end up in the oil business one day, I love driving big trucks, I like leaving all the lights on in my house, I like consuming.

Not true at all. The IPCC says that x number of scientists agree with them, but many of those are people who previously worked there, or currently work for them, disagree, and are still included in the figure. There are thousands of scientists that dispute human caused climate change.

I know what you are saying, but it's ignorant to not test it and blindly accept it as fact(which it has been disputed for the most part). It is happening. Climate change happens, and it is the norm for the world's climate to change.

People who disagree look at the data and the facts and see that human caused global warming is not a valid scientific concept/theory. They understand that we can't affect climate in such a drastic, catastrophic way. It's about science, not environmental impact. It's only about environmental impact when the government steps in and makes people do things and hurts the economy with things like cap and tax legislature. We says its a scam because it is. We aren't lazy assholes who just dont want to change our lives. It's about science, and people's reliance on bad science and manipulated data to push views and policies like cap and trade through. fuck im tired as shit now.

Oh that's right, it never really has. Climate has change throughout all history, and will continue to change long after we die.

As far as the earth being destroyed, i'd put more money on 2012 or  a better yet nuke your neighbor country fest. Keep nuking them until they surrender. That might finish it off

I think you are onto something.  I am definitely going to look into your 2012 theory.  I have been noticing a lot more volcanic activity lately,  I can't believe I didn't put those two things together.

i kno rite. it is hard to look into more info on 2012 theory but once the movie comes out on dvd i really feel that we can look at the special features and bonus footage to get a better understanding of this phenomena. glad to see someone isnt totally dumb golly jee

id say 80% of the world doesnt even know what global warming is.

climate change, like stated above, has gone through a cycle in the world for as far back as we can measure. the problem today is that the earth should start becoming colder( to be able to follow previous trends), and its not. it has grown by 0.6 degrees celcius since 1900, and thats why everyone is freaking out. for all those who claim we didnt start it, you dont know whats up. co2 is obviously one of the main greenhouse gases, and if it wasnt for greenhouse gases, the world would be -18degrees celcius, so give co2 some respect(methane, water vapour,etc all help too).

the reason everyone is freaking out(al gore is an etremist), is because humans have made inactive carbon active again, and if theres more active co2 in the atmosphere, water becomes more acidic, and temperatures rise. what was once a stable amount of co2 is now becoming more concentrated. thats the problem. the thing kids dont realize is that climate change makes areas warmer, and others colder. also, "wet" places will become more wet and dry places more dry. and no, i am not for global warming, i think the whole outburst is propaganda, but you guys need to realize that our earth is experiencing abnormal circumstances.

you do realize that what you posted is just air.... air consists of 3 main things, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen.

nitrogen itself is not a greenhouse gas. nitrogen dioxide and nitrous oxide are, but nitrogen is not. do you know what greenhouse gases do? they absorb some of the radiation rebounded from earth, and the heat they absorb heats our atmosphere. nitrogen doesn't do this. carbon dioxide do, along with methane and many more gases.

yup, co2 is nothinggggggggg compared to nitrogen, the most abundant element we breathe in.

Again so many people just following their original conclusions. That's perfect. Make a conclusion and then reseacrh to back it up.

Look at things like motive, who has what to gain on either side. ALl kinds of things you should look at when doing non biased research.

I did a short research paper on global warming 2 weeks ago, in all of the databases that I checked (mostly Ebsco) nearly all of the peer-reviewed articles were against human influences as the root cause of global warming. This surprised me because when I checked the Ebsco database 2 years ago to write a different research paper on global warming, nearly all of the articles were supporting human influences of global warming.

everyone knows that car emissions and refrigerators are the cause of global warming NOT CO2. and another fact to prove global warming that i experienced first hand. i was in utah on last tuesday and it was 20 degrees. then i went to Sacramento california and it was 60 degrees!! obvious global warming.

I still think looking at motive is extremely important.

Do you really think if they were out to gain control, the majority or the researched pushed out front and media articles wouldn't support it?

We've been lied to about many things for years, this would be nothing knew. And I think that's where most people go wrong. They honesty and naively believe that they haven't and never will be lied too. That the news reports the truth.

But that absolutely is crushed by any research. So you really have to dig deep into any major issure and find the root.

Fact the whole copenhagen i mean "hopenhagen" thing is pushing for making carbon a commodity. They could tax the crap out of that, as if you weren't already taxed enough. The real problem is, that everything you do, even living produces carbon.

That means the government or possibly some world organization, would have a major boost in control. That's a major deal.

If you've read any of the legislation passed in recent year you would know that a good amount of your freedoms were already gone, and the constitution is almost out the door. Most people have never read through any of the legislation, but base their opinions entirely on what they have "researched" by listening to the news or reading some major studies.


That is a major problem. If you are not getting fed truth, it's almost impossible to break through and see that something is wrong.



This is not specifically relating to just the global warming issue. It involve many issues and a great part of your lives.

The truth is, the majority of people in the U.S. are completely ignorant to what actually goes on.

They actually believe that voting for clinton, bush, or obama changed something.

The lies run so deep, and critical thinking is almost gone. For most people it is almost impossible to look at the facts bringing in absolutely ZERO prior bias. They just can't do it. You in so deep already, excepting anything different is extremely difficult.

This is not a choice most people are trying to make. It is simply a gut reaction.



What makes you think that they are really trying to save the planet? When so much of what they've focussed on through legislation and incremental control increases have given an extreme amount of power to the government, including this.


Really think about it. If you believe everything your told your never going to break out of it.


What happened to open minded thinking? Seriously. If people used their brains we wouldn't be in as deep as we are now.

Our economy is pretty much completely dead. We would be in a major depression right now if obama hadn't printed out as much money as he did. The problem with that, is that just made the problem that much worse for down the road. The U.S. dollar is worth less than 5% of the USD pre 1913. A good portion of the freedoms you had, or still think you have, are gone.

In legislation that has been passed, that you've never actually read, the government has an extreme amount of control.

Capitalism was gone along time ago. We were founded as a constitutional republic, most people don't even know that, that moved into a democracy, and then into an oligarchy.


But most of you probably know nothing about that, or have never read any of the legislation like the patriot act.

Read the book 1984, it explains how perpetual war and constant fear of a horrible but imminent threat, with a steady propaganda stream,  can defy all logic and push the people behind almost anything.

I challenge you to read some of the stuff.
