There is 2 ways to look at this thread, innovative today vs. innovative throughout the history of freeskiing. The way the original post was worded, I kind of went with present. Not to mention park vs. big mountain. I should've been a little more specific in my first post and I feel like a lot of people in the thread were talking about present day.

Obviously throughout the history it would be a little more like this (no particular order):
Vinnie D.
Pep
Cusson
Mickael
Crichton
Candide
Pollard
Auclair
Gagnier
--------------
Coombs
Seth M.
McConkey

I'm sure there is some others I'm missing, but these are people that were influential specifically to me.

i think Adam Delorme's style is really innovative.
way different than what everyone else is doing.
always keeping it smooth, simple, and interesting all at the same time.

These guys have both pushed alternative ways to think about certain features and utilised ways of sliding, gabbing, flipping and spinning that are not often seen and added something new to it. they are innovative whether you like them or not and they are doing it TODAY like the thread said.

thank god! i thought i was the only one. in his refresh edit i saw nothing that i havent seen in all of the edits
 on NS. there were at least 4 shots of him hitting the killington dfd and doing a switchup-270 out. it also pisses me off how he does such things as skiing down a set of stairs next to a handrail because "he can"

end rant.

Pollard for sure. I don't feel that many of the big names today are really that innovative, at least not in the ways that the pep, pollard, jp and the pros of the recent past have been. Those guys changed the way people ski and showed people what was possible, much more than the pros of the now. Not to shit on what people are doing now. It's incredible what those guys are doing on rails, but Pollard and Pep showed us that it is possible to ski a mountain face switch. That is much more important K-feds and shit. just my opinion.

Mike Wilson- Check out the 04-05 MSP movie. He did a Dub Cork ten two years before Jon blew up dubs by throwing the Kangaroo flip.

Not only innovative on a whole new level. He is also underrated as fuck. Pick up Teddy Bear Crisis and tell me I am wrong. (He does fall a lot, but its excusable given that  he is constantly doing unprecedented shit)

if you are under the age of 18, you missed the generation of "innovation" excluding the influence of one mister tom wallisch. he is indeed innovative in this day and age. but the real innovation in this sport was tanner hall, pep fujas, eric pollard.... and shane mcconkey for sure. they changed the sport more than anyone. but that was just the first generation of "freestyle" skiing. it continues....

You are Forgetting everyone who was before that generation. JP, JF Cussan, Shane Szocs, Mike Douglas. The whole Canadian AirForce killed it before Tanner was even on Twin Tips. And even then Pollard, and Candide were light years ahead of Tanner in terms of inovation. Candide had stomped the shit out of a D-spin 720 over Chads gap before I even knew Tanners Name.
