How many people on here are in teh Albany area.  I finally got my car up ehre so I'm looking to do alot of skiing soon and was wodnering where everyone went. I was think about trying to hit up okemo and jiminy peak alot ther eyear. is there any places closer that are decent, i've been to west mtn but wasn't impressed.

i ski at ski butternut in mass. its like 45 minuntes away from albany and there parks are reall good, much better than west and jiminny and any others mountains in new york or mass.

okemo is good but jimminy peak gets old fast. there's a ton of urban though

I'm in the area. Going to be around Jiminy and Windham this year when I'm home from school.
What I'm really interested in though is hitting some urban. Need a crew to do so. Anyone else interested?

im from the ALB area, when im not at school in buffalo jimminy peaks park sucks, ive ridden there my whole life, keep in mind they strive to be a family resort, go to MT Snow, me and my buddies would definitely be down to assault some area urbans though

it takes a little over 2hrs for mt snow and about 2hrs 30min for killington

From Alb it takes an hour and 30   sometimes 20 if your moving.  the best place to go if your willing to drive a little while.  West is good for a short trip, jimminy is good for night and has a decent park

yeah mount snow is 1 30/ 145 depending on traffic. best option from albany
