Salomon Ghost Problems

I wore the salomon ghost boots all last year and got major toe bang, which resulted in the loss of both my big toenails, and i was planning on wearing them again this year hoping my foot grew a little andd it didn't. I took out the liner to see if it was too big today and put my foot in and my toes came all the way to the front but i noticed theres a pocket of space by my heel that my heel isn't, and won't, lock in to. Is there a way to fix that or should i try to see if i can get the spks with the rubber toe? Cuz i landed just a little back seat today off a little rail and it killed

Have you gone to a bootfitter?  They should be able to help you with that but foot beds or something

I feel you on losing toenails.  It's such a pain taking care of the bare toes after the nails go too.

if you mold the liner properly to your achilles then you should be able to slide your heel all the way back

idk if salomons boots come with heat-moldable liners, but im sure you can find a substitue lace-up liner (like the ghost's) thats heat-moldable/ heat mold a footbed or something, that would put your heel back in place and if your still getting bad toe bang a goot bootfitter could shave a little off the inside toe of the boot to make a bit more room....

Course they have heat moldable liners. Go and see a boot fitter, getting the 'spks with the rubber toe' isn't going to help you, getting a boot that fits right will.

You could have the best boot in the world for your foot, but if you don't support your foot it will slide around inside the boot (usually forward) resulting in a ton of foot related problems.  Think about it - you have a flexible twisty thing called a foot and it's stuck inside a rigid plastic cast (a ski boot) with a 6 foot lever arm (a ski) attached to it traveling at anywhere from 20-50 mph.  Your foot will get wrung out like a wet rag inside that boot, especially on landings.

Always make sure your boot is fitted by a professional and make sure your footbed is dialed in.  Your feet will totally thank you.

dude i had the same problem till i got them fitted by a boot fitter, now i dont even get shin bang, its like wearing slippers, by far the best boots i have ever worn

Alright, thanks! yea i dont if they have heat moldeable liners or not but im gonna see if i can to a bootfitter hopefully today and check it out
