WTF... Pekka Hyssalo does a dub 12 mute and qualifies first, Cosco does a dub 12 mute stomps it equally clean and doesn't qualify. Don't get me wrong, I understand that this is not your normal big air. This is the King of Style, I get it. I just think the judges are really cryptic with this event. If a shifty cork 7 and 9 put Simon Ericson in the 4th spot over way bigger tricks from LJ and Wallish then why isn't everyone throwing slow smooth flat 5s and switch 7s with tech grabs. every skier in the event could do what ericson and Patrick Hollaus did but they arent trying to. Its like they clued in all the European riders and left the guys from the states and Canada in the dark. Tom Wallisch is not showing off his style with a switch dub 10. He is showcasing his huge bag of tricks, and thats dope, but it reveals a huge inconsistency from the judges. Either Wallisch and Cosco should have scored better for having ridiculous tricks, or Wallisch should have been the odd man out because no matter how you look at it he did a boot grab. I am sure most of you will consider this old news now that the finals video is out, but what the hell. I am curious if anyone else agrees with me.
