I have a pair of Rossignol Axial 100 race bindings, and I've noticed that there is play in the pivot on the heel peice(the actual pivot for the binding, not the turntable), It seems like the rivet, or whatever has loosened up, does anyone else have this problem? Can it be fixed, do i need to worrie?
Also, Ive noticed my friends looks have play, but its at the base were the turntable is, mine is the actual heel barel peice.

If you are jumping on them or creating impact a common problem for a lot of bindings, and specifically Rossis/Looks... will end up beating the rivets around to loosen them up. If i understand the question correctly (as it is hard without a visual.) I would definitly have it looked at. If it comes apart during skiing it could be a real nasty problem because it would likely come out as you were popping off a lip or from the impact of a jump or a rail, which could possibly result in a serious unneccesary injury. Personally, if you brought it into my job I would look through the Rossi manual, and more than likely they will have the replacement part and or a way of resecuring the rivet. However, on some bindings it is simply a manufactured piece and there is no set way to fix it. The Tech will then make the decision wether or not to try and tinker and fix it himself, however...that is often a gray area with insurance and it is likely that unless the repair is really obvious, or there is a technical update to fix them... that you will be forced to replace the binding or seek warranty. But yes.. do have it looked at ... because bindings don't respond well to stress if they are not functioning correctly and that is when injuries occur. Hope that helps.
