Setting up final cut for super 16

so i'm importing all my telecine footage and I need to know what sequence settings i need for super 16, im keeping quicktime video settings at 422...but I'm wondering if I should change the frame size

I'm also wondering what I should have for video processing since I want quick rendering and I'm editing on my mb pro via firewire(will be getting eSata cord for my HD soon) so I don't mind if the video playback is low quality


also, I'm using magic bullet looks and I'm wondering how effective the grain reduction will be

Well what format are the quicktime files? pro res, h.264?

yeah it's in pro res 422....i think i figured it out, i installed fc studio 3 and it's just did it automatically and it looks super clean

Why are you using Magic Bullet on film? I'd imagine the super16 looks sexy enough with a little luminance curve adjustment...

i was thinking you could use magic bullet for grain, but found out no, I'm probably not gonna use it at all on the film now

I know, I kinda took a break from NS, I've been concentrating on school and making non-ski movies and I'm opening a studio in April so I'm trying to put together a good portfolio
