On Tuesday night some friends of mine were driving in their car in Colorado. They are a beautiful family two parents that really try hard and care and 5 children that are all great kids. The mom and the three youngest kids were riding in their car around dinner time and they were hit by a drunk driver head on. The mom died instantly. She was young and a wonderful person. One of the sons is in a comatose and has spinal cord damage, he may never walk again. The daughter in the car had to have facial reconstruction and has severe lacerations all over her body. The last boy in the car, another son, has severe brain swelling and is also in a coma.
This happened in Durango and all three children were flown to Denver to Children's Hospitals. Their dad is there with them and he is devastated. The daughter is expected to recover but will remain in a wheel chair for at least a year, and the doctors say the two sons may not ever fully recover.
This is just a reminder of how short life is. If you could please send some +++ vibes to my friends in Colorado that would just help out. I cannot imagine what they are going through, it's terrible.
