I'd avoid Marker bindings outside of the Royal Family series. A good friend skied on a pair of the M 12 Frees and had nothing but trouble with pre releasing during awkward falls and breaks getting messed up.

Yeah, the Free series tends to have some problems unless you're really light. Markers "Royal Family" series (Griffon, Jester, Baron, Duke) is pretty solid, but the rest of them are meh.

How tall are you and how much do you weight?

MUCH better, they're a bit heavy, but are more durable. And at 5' 8" 150, a 14 DIN will be fine (that's right around where I am and I'm getting Look Pivot 14), but I wouldn't look at bindings with a higher DIN than 14.

I sued to have the marker 12 eps (same as the 12 free but w/out the rubber pad) and they were great.  I had no trouble at all with them.  I want to try them again.  I thought they were great bindings.  You can enver go wrong with px series though.
