Anyone hear about this whole end of the wrld thing tonight
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/15/science/15risk.html check that out its called the Large Hadron Collider. Basicly it can tell us a butt load about science or create a black hole thats going to swallow and crush the world. so thanks for everything NS becuase i might die tonight
It is actually news because it was turned on again today after they did loads of repairs and shit on it because it broke last time.
It could create a black hole, however, if it did, the black whole would be so small and exist for a fraction of a second so it wont affect us at all.
I also dont think theyre going to be ramping it up to 100% for a few more months.
No, we couldn't tell anyone about it. Everyone would be wherever you end up when you die and be like "hey how'd you die, oh, also that black hole, yeah me too."
I do wonder how that would feel though, I know people would describe it as being stretched out to some unimaginable proportion, but I can't say I know the feeling.
any black hole created by the LHC would be too small to sustain it self and would disappear with in microseconds. take a fucking physics class you retards
They said on the universe show on history channel that there might be tiny black holes all over anyways so...
I am pretty sure the LHC is doing most of the same things fermilab here in the states has done for years, only the LHC is bigger and more powerful.
as you get sucked in, you would be able to see people for a split second, but they wouldn't be able to see you. Then you would be ripped a part down to trillions of single atoms.
it would be quick and painless
it's cool, and real sciency, but it's not gonna end the fucking world, ever
these collisions they're re creating in the collider happen thousands, millions of times a second in our universe, if they really were any big deal at all we'd know about them already
