I hope you realize that those guys were joking about the Look P18s. At your weight, you can't use those bindings safely. You need a 10 or 12 din binding at most.
These are some of the better ones IMO:

Salomon STH 12
Rossignol FKS 120

You could probably get away with a pair of Salomon Z10s or Z12s if your really looking to save some cash, but I would definitely recommend one of the pairs listed above if you (or your parents, lol) can afford it.
They have a wider mounting pattern, wider brakes, a different brake system, sweet colors, etc. Are they worth double the price of an older pair? I personally don't think so. Plus I don't ski a high enough din to justify getting the FKS 140 anyways. Guess I'll have to live with the good old FKS 120 :-)
