its all sorts of fucked up. Freds is having major problems. They cancelled their rail jam at 8am the day of the event because they were mad at killington over a stupid reason, while all the kids that traveled who knows how far to go ended up wasting their time (the stupid reason was that he wanted the rails next to the pipe apparently, but they didnt have enough snow to move them, so the kids would have to...OH GOD...ski 1 mile after the rail jam to get to the pipe)...i heard some kids didnt even get their entry fee back when killington decided to have a 'mini' pipe jam with goggles as first prize instead of the armadas freds was 'supposed' to give out

but yeah, the MINDS behind anything Freds freeride are hurting lately...its pretty bad when u go to a ski website and the online store has MOVIES for sale

oh, and he was giving away gift certificates to ANOTHER SHOP as well...from shops at the shack. No FREDS certificates, just another shops ones.

and if your trying to find ski clothing next season, id avoid freds. The only thing he bought (from the owners mouth to my ears) is camo Grenade jackets and pants. No more Ripcurl, No more SMS, no Orage, No Siver outerwear ('man siver outerewear is fucking shit, ill never buy that') nothing...just Grenade camo jackets

im not holding a grudge against Freds, but i knew a few kids who personally drove to the comp and got screwed because of a really shitty reason, and id feel bad if i didnt let other people know what happened

and yeah...his site is fucked

yah the fact that he pulled outta the pipe and rail jam is bullshit. ive competed in the thing for 3 years, and when i finally place, he decides to go home and take all the friggin prizes with him. instead of getting some kind of dope ski swag, i got a pair of leftover sunglasses from one of the sobe pipe jams. not that im really complaining, because i needed new sunglasses anyways. basically my point is im a huge bitch.

easy anthony- dont bash fred's about this from what you've heard. i stopped by on the way back to school to do the event, and was super pissed about the situation so i decided to go down to the shop and see his side of it, knowing full well to not trust anything i hear from a killington official. The event was sick the last 2 years- this is what they said to haskell this year 'you have no PA system, no DJ, no rails, and our pipe sucks' and they promised at 3 pm the day before the rails were to be moved and everything would be set up, but they lyed, nothing got done, so if it was me, i wouldnt my name on a comp like that. it's wasnt a good move for fred's to completely pull out, i would have done somehting, but haskell does have good reaon for what he did, and he lost a lot of money in the venture, for a 10 dollar entry fee, you were going to get a zip down freds hoodie. IN a nutshell, it was very disappointing, but fred's is not to blame, BLAME KILLINGTON AND SEND THEM HATE-MAIL BECAUSE THEY SUCK.

eh, its a different story no matter what side u hear from. I know why Haskell pulled out, but I also know Killy made a good faith attempt to work all night long to fix what was wrong, and he never even gave them a chance to make it right. I dont have an opinion on Freds either way, i just feel bad for everyone that went and got old sunglasses and goggles. He could have at least tried to work with Killington, but he didnt

killington is probably the worst mountain I've ever been to. There's just a bunch of New Yorkers and rude employees. The mountain is all hyped on how big they are, but the layout really sucks. Just my 2 cents....

^ agreed, i live 10 minutes away and ive been tehre 6 times all season, i refuse to go if i dont have to
