so my laptop of three years recently broke, and i was on the search for a new computer on a tight budget. i was cruisin craigs list and ebay looking for used ones in good condition, and i came across a brand new macbook for $500, the new new model at that. i went to the guys place to pick it up, and i found myself in a tiny, shitty apartment, that contained a bedroom and kitchen, essentially empty, except for maybe 30 apple desktops/macbooks and other mac products in the corner of the bedroom, all brand new, covered with a blanket. needless to say, its pretty obvious this doodguy jacked an apple store, so it is a bad idea to register my new computer for applecare or anything like that? could this have any negative outcomes?
i actually did consider this, but i had the strange sensation that this dood had some sort of crazy weapon. not like a gun, but some sort of machete or chainsaw or something that he would really enjoy killing me with
buying it was acutally one of the sketchiest moments of my life
probably stolen, who cares though. if you register with applecare or whatever they can't be like YOU stole this now your int rouble or anything. cuz then you can be like "no i didnt i bought it off this guy who lives here" ya know. but yeah. why register with applecare anyways?
